Introduction

Effective date of this communication all users will be required to use their University email address and secret generated password to access internet through wireless access points. Department Email addresses or group emails will not be used. Secret passwords will be accessible through student’s/staff portals.

User guide is as below:

This is as shown in the following steps: –

STEP 1: WIFI NAME

On the list of available WIFI networks on your phone, select “STAFF_EDUROAM/STUDENT_EDUROAM”.

NB: Staff can access any “EDUROAM” WIFI network available within their range with strongest signal.

STEP 2: EAP METHOD

Make sure EAP method is selected as “PEAP”

STEP 3: CA CERTIFICATE

Click on CA Certificate and select “Don’t validate” (Not all phones may require this)

STEP 4: IDENTIFY

Enter your university email address as displayed in your portal. (email@must.ac.ke for staff and email@student.must.ac.ke)

STEP 5: PASSWORD

Enter your unique password as displayed in your portal

STEP 6: AUTO RECONNECT

Ensure auto reconnection is ON.

STEP 7: CONNECT

Click connect to gain access to EDUROAM WIFI.

 

MUST_EDUROAM LOGIN VIA LAPTOP/COMPUTER

In order to gain access to Meru University of Science and Technology WIFI via laptop/computer, access is only granted to authorised personnel using login username and password as shown in the respective portals.

This is as shown in the following steps:

STEP 1

Gain access into your respective portals. e.g for student’s as shown in figure below:

 

STEP 2

Obtain your WIFI Login credentials as given in your portal.

 

WIFI ACCESS PROCEDURE

With the WIFI username and password obtained from your portal, follow the next steps: –

 

STEP 1

Click on the network tab on your computer, select “STUDENT_EDUROAM” for students and either “STUDENT_EDUROAM”

or “STAFF_EDUROAM” for staff with the strongest signal.

 

STEP 2

Enter your username and password as shared on your portal account.

STEP 3

Click Connect to gain access to respective “EDUROAM” network.
